Christmas Morning

It was a different Christmas morning from years past - there was hardly any stomping on the floor from upstairs and the little stomping heard was at 9:30 (and not 6:00).  Santa came regardless with stockings and gifts followed by a snowball fight and the search for the pickle.  Many Christmas happies appeared, with particulars including a new computer for Meg, an heirloom necklace for Jane Gray and an unfindable PS5 for Charlie (that his mother diligently searched for and found - much to his delight (Dad still thinks we should have sold it . . . )).

Post-Presents Zoom and Lunch

No large Stowe family gathering this Christmas, so Zoom had to suffice.  But we were glad to have Nana and Grandpa for a late lunch with the traditional family picture in front of the mantle to finish off Christmas Day.

The Stockings Were Hung by the Chimney with Care

 All ready for Christmas morning!

Christmas Eve with the Hursts and Barbours

Though it was over different hurdles this year, the Barbours, Hursts and Barbours still got together on Christmas Eve for hopefully a new tradition that does not repeat - The Night Before Christmas read with s'mores and red velvet cake.  We had fun anyway gathered around the fire pit (other than Paul who was banished due to contact with Covid-laced Haley).  Henry received his owl as the best uncle gift ever.
