Fruit of the Spirit finale

Tonight was the culmination of a summer of learning about the Fruit of the Spirit.  The children gathered for a summary of the Fruit of the Spirit, and then we broke into groups to attend activities representing six of the Fruit of the Spirit.  Charlie's favorite was Patience - fortunately for him, it didn't take him too much patience to learn how to catch a ball in the solo cup.

We took these friends (and their sisters) to Nandy's Candy to celebrate the start of school and thank them for being so sweet to Charlie when he had his tonsils removed.  Each of these boys (and Lytle) visited Charlie during his recovery.

Jane Gray's birthday lunch

After 7th grade orientation, Jane Gray and 15 of her friends celebrated her birthday at Zeek'z House of Gyros.  The food was delicious, but we made the mistake of putting the birthday favors (bags of giant gumballs) on the tables for the girls to chew before lunch.  Rosy in particular always had a big wad of gum in her mouth!  We had cookie cake for dessert and sang "happy birthday" to a very happy birthday girl!
