Christmas Card Delivery

The children and Daddy delivered a few Christmas cards to our friends in the neighborhood.  Kids had a great time making deliveries.

It's almost December, so be on the lookout for our Christmas card.

Decorating the Christmas tree

We decorated our Christmas tree this afternoon.  We placed the new ornaments Nana and Grandpa gave us first, and then it was a free for all with all of our favorite ornaments from past Christmases.  Daddy placed the angel again this year.

Lunch with the Browns and Madduxes

After the Christmas tree farm, we went to the Madduxes and had lunch with the Browns and Madduxes.  The boys played lots and lots of football, and the girls swung on the swings.  We had a great time!

Christmas tree farm

We grabbed some doughnuts, headed to the K&B Christmas Tree Farm, and cut our Christmas tree this morning.  We took a hayride to our tree (we had preselected it) with Lucy the dog, Charlie took us right to our tree, and the kids took turns cutting it down.

Thanksgiving in Yazoo City

Pop and Sherrie's floors got flooded from a new ice maker, so we ate Thanksgiving lunch in Yazoo City at Daddy's home church, First Pres.  The kids played and caught leaves before we ate, and after lunch, we played at Fairfields - we hiked, fished (Charlie caught the only bass!), rode horses, and played with our cousins.

Thanksgiving in Jackson

We went to our church Thanksgiving service and came home to eat sausage pinwheels and watch the Macy's parade (Meg kept looking for Macey Baird!) before heading to Nana and Grandpa's house for Thanksgiving lunch.  We had all of the yummy traditional Thanksgiving food and then ran off all of those extra calories at the Ridgeland park with our cousins.

First Deer Hunt - 2012

The three of us went to Louise for our first deer hunt of the season.  Our box stand was blown over in a recent storm, so we were relegated to sitting behind the stand instead of inside of it.  It was a slow deer day as we only saw one, but on the walk in Charlie found matching beaver jaws, duck feathers, we saw a black squirrel, lots of ducks, spiders and other creatures.  On the walk out, we stopped at the edge of the some woods and heard something walking toward us in the woods just at dark.  Our hearts raced as we tried to see what was coming closer and closer our way - a deer, bear, hawg, coyote - and closer and closer until out appeared an armadillo.  We were a little disappointed, but entertained by Charlie chasing it away.

Mommy's new yard man

We are so thankful that Charlie is old enough to help in the yard!

Family bowling

We went bowling tonight - one of the great Kibler family traditions.  The kids did so well!  Jane Gray had two strikes in a row!  She is taking after her Nana.  Don't worry about Daddy.  Mommy hurt her elbow, and Daddy rallied and ended up beating Jane Gray by one point.

Liz Fair's wedding

Jane Gray was a program attendant in Liz Fair's wedding.  She had so much fun getting to stand in the front of the church and greet everyone.  After the wedding, we ate and danced at the CCJ until Charlie got a tummy ache from all of the good food.  It was a fun night!
