First Cross Country Meet at Prep

Meg's first Cross Country meet turned into an interesting outing.  She took off and was with the leaders the whole race.  Dad was able to keep up with her and cheer her on throughout the race.  At one point, Meg told Dad that she couldn't breathe to which he responded "you can breathe later" thinking she was just out of shape.  (A few weeks later, we found out she had exercise induced asthma - oops.)  Meg finished in 4th place in her first race - very impressive (especially when not able to breathe).

First 9th Grade Game v. Central Hinds

Charlie's first football game of his 9th grade year was as good of a start as could be hoped for.  Three series and three touchdown passes to start the game for Charlie.  What a great game for Charlie.

Prep v. Central Hinds Jr. High Football

Charlie had a great first 9th grade football game - started at quarterback, made a great run on 3d and long for the first (or near first as he was robbed), completed 3 touchdown passes and won 28-0.  It was a mighty fun night.

Prep Soccer v. Lamar

Meg had to move to defense due to an injured defender, and she played very well having not played defense in several years.  Win for JP 5-1.

7th Grade Cheer

Meg enjoyed cheering for the first game tonight with her friends.  The cheerleaders certainly performed much better than the football team (0-62, ouch).

Rush Soccer Champs in Clinton Tournament (at BFC)

What and awesome finish with Meg scoring on a breakaway as time ran out to win the Championship!  Meg took the shot, fell down, got back up, and scored off the rebound to win the tournament - it was as good as it gets on the soccer field.
