Meg and her boyfriends

Meg claims to have three "boyfriends."  We didn't really believe her until one of the boyfriends, Matthew, invited her to his birthday party.  Matthew isn't in Meg's class, and we don't know Matthew's family, so we assume that this sweet boy really does consider Meg to be his friend.  Tonight, we went out to eat with the Andersons and Meg's other boyfriend, Mac.  They are the best of friends!

Prom 2024

The 2nd grade boy moms joke that our sons will have to ask their friends' younger sisters to prom because the 2nd grade class has so many boys.  So, we dubbed the top picture the Prom 2024 picture.  The bottom picture is of the sweet baseball sisters.

Fun at ballet

After ballet, the girls enjoyed playing at the Mississippi Museum of Art.

Charlie's class picnic

Charlie's class had their picnic at LeFleur's Bluff State Park.  Of course, Charlie barely ate his lunch and instead spent most of his time playing football, soccer, and baseball with his friends.

Turkey hunting

Daddy took Charlie and Jane Gray turkey hunting in Yazoo City. They didn't kill a turkey, but they saw lots of animals - a fox, raccoon, and turtle!  We stopped in the woods for a moment, and Jane Gray said 'there's a raccoon!'  I looked and said, 'no, that's a fox.'  Turned out that we were both right.  We finished the hunt riding the horse, of course.

Easter pictures

We took lots of Easter pictures!  Aunt Stacy, you can thank me later for not including any of our outtakes.

Happy Easter!

Easter morning was sunny and warmer.  We ate breakfast and then went to the Eisenhauers' church for their Easter service.  When we got home, the children hunted Easter eggs while we prepared Easter lunch.  After lunch, and some tearful good-byes, we headed home to Jackson.

Resurrection rolls and The Ten Commandments

Not long after we got home from ice skating, Nana and Grandpa arrived.  We grilled burgers and had resurrection rolls for dessert.  We then watched The Ten Commandments and horsed around until it was time for bed.

Ice skating

It was cold and wet, so we decided to go ice skating.  Everyone did so well and had fun!  Jane Gray and Charlie even won prizes, a pink and blue Easter bunny, for playing Disney trivia.

Easter egg dying

Saturday morning, we dyed Easter eggs.  We cooked three dozen eggs, and the children decorated them all!

Easter in Charlotte

We had so much fun in Charlotte!  One of our favorite memories will be of the three little girls in their matching pj's.  They wore matching pj's every night and slept in the same bed!

Ole Miss-LSU game

We are spending our Easter break in Charlotte with our Eisenhauer cousins.  Our first leg of the trip included a stop in Oxford for the Ole Miss baseball game.  Charlie got a game ball, and Meg danced the night away with Rebel the Bear.
