Steel City Pops

We made a pit stop in Birmingham for their world famous Steel City Pops!

Desoto Falls

In keeping with tradition, we went to Desoto Falls after pickup.  Jane Gray loved being back with her brother and sister!

We finally got to pick up our girl!  We spent the night at the Desoto State Park, woke up early for breakfast, and got to camp at 8:00 just in time to hear the girls singing "Let's Go Fly a Kite!"  Jane Gray was thrilled to see us and report that the Chickasaws won the Cup!  Jane Gray didn't shed as many tears as she did last year - she's a seasoned camper!  We lingered a while with her and our friends before finally saying our good-byes.  Until next summer. . . .

More Desoto activities

Two of Jane Gray's favorite camp activities were dance and tennis.  The juniors didn't play in the tennis tournament, but Lucie taught tennis, so Jane Gray and Liddy got to be ball girls.

Desoto Horse Show

Jane Gray was in the horse show again this year.  She came in fourth place which is pretty amazing since she was in a jumping class with girls who show horses year-round.

Water skiing and tubing with the Rutledges

We went water skiing and tubing with the Rutledges today.  Charlie tried water skiing first and got up several times.  Meg was very brave and tried to ski, but she just couldn't get up this time.  They both loved tubing!  Meg stood up and "surfed."  Charlie stood up, too, to impress Rachel.  Those two have been the sweetest friends for a very long time!  We loved watching her talk to him while they were tubing.
