After a hearty buffet breakfast at Desoto State Park, we hit the road for Camp Desoto. Jane Gray was grinning ear to ear and jumped out of the van when we arrived. She immediately saw several of her camp friends, and they hugged and laughed together before waiting in line for their cabin assignments. Jane Gray was thrilled that she got to be in Betsy Lindsey and CE's cabin again this year, and Sayley was also in her cabin! Phil told Jane Gray that everyone asked to be in her cabin; that made her feel so good! Jane Gray's counselors are Sarah Jane and Pepper, and they seemed so sweet! After we got Jane Gray settled in, we visited with some of the other families, some we haven't seen in years! It was so fun! I think we were the last parents to leave (after Fair and Paul maybe), and Jane Gray just laughed watching us go from cabin to cabin. We have no worries that she will be homesick since she cried when we picked her up last summer - she didn't want to leave! We, on the other hand, will miss her terribly but know she is in a wonderful place, where she will learn more about her Savior and make life-long friends.
