City swim meet

Charlie and Meg swam in the city swim meet finals this year.  Charlie qualified in all five of his events (and won four of five heats, losing only to Warner Russ in back), and Meg qualified in free (she won her heat!) and back.  At the finals, Meg was seeded second in free but ended up finishing fourth.  She was seeded eighth in back and improved to sixth in the finals.  We were very proud of her!  Charlie won medals in each of his events - silver in his two team events (he swam anchor in the free and breast in the medley), gold in breast, silver in fly, and bronze in back.  WOW!  He swam against Warner in the back, and Warner set a city record in the event.  Charlie swam against some very talented year-round swimmers, and he did very well!  We are very proud of him!
