Meg's gifts, dinner, and birthday cake

When Daddy got home, we opened gifts, Daddy gave Meg her birthday spanking, and then we went to Crazy Ninja, Meg's choice, for dinner.  Our waitress sang "Happy birthday" to us in Japanese (we love her little face watching so intently), played a song for Meg to dance to, and gave Meg a big ice cream sundae.  We ate birthday cake and sang "Happy birthday" again to Meg when we got home.  It was such a fun birthday!

Happy 5th birthday, Meg!

Meg was overjoyed to turn five!  We celebrated big.  Nana and Grandpa picked her up from school and took her to McDonald's to get a milkshake.  When she got home, we noticed a note and "M" cookie that was left at our front door - it was from Mary Love, and it asked Meg to be her flower girl.  What a fun birthday gift!

Meg's birthday party at school

Meg's teacher sent us a picture of her receiving her special birthday cupcake from Covenant.

Prep-JA basketball game

We went to the Prep-JA game with the Madduxes to cheer on Richard Baird.  Charlie loved watching the game with Mr. Baird and made us wait after the game so that he could see Richard.  The #5 pin was given to Charlie by Mrs. Baird, and he wore it proudly!

Meg's selfies

Meg loves to take pictures of herself with our iphones.  It looks like she found an accomplice.

MLK Day Eve

Since the children don't have school tomorrow, we decided to have a few friends over to spend the night.  It's been a wild night so far!

JG hunting with Daddy

Daddy took Jane Gray deer hunting this afternoon.  On our walk in, we found several deer were already in the food plot.  Once they left, we saw some hogs behind the box stand, and we were able to shoot the biggest one.  It was another beautiful day in the country with perfect time with my biggest baby.

Silly basketball girls

Jane Gray's basketball team is so silly!

Jane Gray's basketball game

Jane Gray's basketball team played their first game, and Jane Gray scored on a turnaround jumper from the block.  It was awesome!

Charlie's basketball game

Charlie's team played their first game this morning.  He hustled hard and scored eight points.  He and Christopher even executed a pick play to perfection.

Muffins with Mom

Meg and Mommy had fun at Muffins with Mom.  We made a bouquet of flowers with our handprints and ate a lot of chocolate chip muffins!

Fun with Avery

Avery came home for a visit, so several of her friends met at Beagle Bagel for a homecoming party.

Saying good-bye to Emma

Our sweet Emma dog died Wednesday night.  We buried her in Yazoo City because Emma was a country dog at heart.  The children helped dig her grave site, and we all shared our favorite Emma memories before saying good-bye to her.

Snow day

We woke up this morning to snow!  It snowed on and off until noon for a total of 3-4 inches.  It was beautiful!  We sledded with the new sled Nana and Grandpa gave us for Christmas.  We also played with our cousins and neighbors, had lots of snowball fights, and made the cutest snowman.

Gigi's cupcakes

These sweet girls took cupcakes to a sick friend and were thoughtful enough to try some to make sure they tasted ok.
