Picking out our Christmas tree

Today, we went to the Christmas tree farm to cut down our Christmas tree.  After a little bit of football, we found our tree and took turns sawing it down.

Oxford Trip

It was a good trip to Oxford other than the game.

Good Morning in Louise

 

We had a great opening morning of duck season with Pop and Uncle Will.  It started with a pile of ducks, including Charlie's first ducks shot out of the air.  It then moved to a deer drive where Charlie shot his first doe.  All the excitement and subsequent work turned into a quick nap on the way to Pop's house for a day-late Thanksgiving lunch.

New York City

Jane Gray and Meg had the awesome experience of going to New York City with Nana and Grandpa over Thanksgiving, and they were busy:

Day 1:  Flight; Hotel was Hilton Garden Inn near Times Square; Bryant Park Christmas Market; NYC public library; Carnegie Hall; Rockefeller Center & Ice Skating; Dylan's Candy Store; Serendipity Restaurant.

Day 2:  Chrysler Building; Empire State Building; Bloomingdales; Times Square; Rockettes Christmas Special; Ben and Jerry’s; Top of the Rock; Big Bus Downtown Tour; NBC Studios; Lion King; Hard Rock Café;

Day 3:  Carriage Ride thru Central Park; Big Bus Uptown Tour; Statue of Liberty Ferry Cruise; Grand Central Train Station; Oyster Barn Restaurant;

Day 4:  Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade; Macy's; Subway to China Town; Crepes at Plaza Hotel; Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum; St. Patrick's Cathedral/ St. Thomas Church; 911 Memorial and museum; Freedom Tower; Ellen's Stardust Restaurant;

Along the way, also saw in passing:  Mets Stadium; Madison Square Garden; Guggenheim Museum; Metropolitan Museum; American Indian Museum; Tiffany's; Trump Tower; United Nations; Brooklyn Bridge
