Yazoo City Trip

Charlie and Daddy took a trip to Yazoo City to pick up Meg's new bed, and just happened to catch a few fish.  While I was taking my last fish off the line, Charlie said his line was hung - which it was.  When I was able to free the line, it just happened to have the biggest fish of the day on it - was a good way to end the day.  We also had a good time shooting the .22 and the new 7mm08 that will hopefully bring home some venison this year.

Cooking with Nana

While Mommy and Daddy were at the Bethany banquet, Nana baked brownies with the kids.

Meg's field trip

Meg's kindergarten class went to the fire museum this morning.  The kids learned all about fire safety.  Meg even helped Ms. Sherry with one of her demonstrations.  She also learned how to drop and roll and slide down a fire pole.  It was a fun field trip!

MAIS swim meet

Charlie and Jane Gray swam in the MAIS swim meet again this year.  Jane Gray hurt her ankle in tumbling class this week, so she didn't swim as well as she usually does.  She did get to swim in the free relay, though, and her team finished eighth.  Charlie had a big day swimming - his relay teams finished third (free) and second (medley - Charlie swam back), and Charlie placed third in back and second in breast.  The FPDS team as a whole did very well and won the elementary division for the sixth year in a row.

"G" day and special fire truck snack

Today was "G" day at kindergarten.  Meg (and several of her classmates) dressed as a goalie.  The class also has been studying community helpers and will take a field trip to the fire station tomorrow.  To celebrate, some of the moms helped the class make a fire truck snack.  The kids loved making the fire trucks and loved even more eating them (or in Meg's case, licking the icing)!  Meg also was very proud of the fire truck she drew.

Ole Miss-Texas game

Ole Miss beat Texas, and we loved celebrating the victory with our friends.  The boys were so funny.  Mommy would call them in from playing football when Ole Miss scored.  We scored so much, the boys kept saying, "Again"?

Weekend with Ebbie

Meg had a special friend and cousin pick her up from school today.  Ebbie is spending the weekend with us while her parents are in Austin at the Ole Miss-Texas game.  Meg was wearing her soccer shirt for "A" week (athletics shirt).

Meeting Katie

Wilson invited the children over to meet his new dog, Katie.  The children, of course, loved her and are now begging for a puppy!

Ballet picnic

We had a ballerina picnic before class today.  Meg was so funny warming up for class!  She is serious about ballet!

Louise Dove Hunt

We spent the afternoon in Louise on a dove hunt.  Although the birds did not cooperate, we still had a great time.  The little kids went on several explorations and filled up Laurie's bug cage.  Charlie had a good time with Little Pope, and Jane Gray enjoyed shooting Coke cans.  We finished the day off with a trip to the Redneck Aquarium where many sights were seen.
