Before Andy and Charlie headed to camp, the Thunder got together for a pizza party at Reunion.  The boys played a pick-up game of baseball and swam at the beach.  It was so fun!

Late Father's Day in Yazoo City

We spent the day in Yazoo City celebrating a late Father's Day with Pop.  The children had a great day crafting, swimming, fishing, swimming, and driving Pop's Ranger.  We had to leave early for Mary Lacy Montgomery's wedding, but the children were able to squeeze in some horse riding after we left and before they rode back to Jackson with the Hursts.

Fun with the Eisenhauer girls

The Eisenhauer girls came home with us from the beach.  They spent the night last night, and we had a fun last dinner together at Papito's.

Charlie and John Woods's 10th birthday party

Charlie and John Woods had a baseball birthday party at the NJYBB fields.  The boys split up into two teams and played a baseball game with tennis balls.  Charlie hit lots of home runs for his team, and they were so cute waiting at home plate for a mini celebration after each one.  There was also a home run derby and lots of baseball cupcakes.  It was a fun party!

State tournament runner-ups

The Thunder traveled to Oxford to play in the state baseball tournament.  The boys played great winning their pool and bracket games easily.  But because of lots of rainy weather, they had to play three games on Sunday.  Charlie started the championship game and pitched to a four-run lead, but he reached his inning limit and had to leave the game in the fifth inning.  He was not happy about it; he wanted to keep pitching!  The boys ended up losing the game.  It was a great weekend, but the boys were sad not to win the championship.

Charlie's birthday and Father's Day

We celebrated Charlie's 10th birthday and Father's Day in Oxford.  Charlie got lots of fun gifts for Alpine, and Daddy got a signed copy of George Bush's book.
