Christmas tree farm

We found a beautiful 8 1/2 foot Christmas tree at the tree farm this afternoon!  The children took turns cutting it down, and Charlie made the last chop!  While the tree was being loaded, the boys played a little football.  That football goes with us everywhere!

Meg reading newspaper on the way to the tree farm

Meg read about the Egg Bowl on the way to the tree farm.  Daddy is teaching his little girl all about football!

Catching Fall Leaves

We stopped by Nana and Grandpa's new temporary home and had to catch some leaves that were falling in the yard.  This is on the list as one of Daddy's favorite things.

Yazoo City Thanksgiving

We spent the day after Thanksgiving in Yazoo City with the Barbours.  We ate tons of food and played a lot outside since the weather was so nice.  Jane Gray especially loved getting to ride Donogram!

Thanksgiving night s'mores

We spent Thanksgiving night over a fire pit at the Hursts' house eating lots and lots of s'mores!

Thanksgiving 2014

We hosted Thanksgiving lunch for the Stowes, Gibsons, and Zupas this year since Nana and Grandpa are in the process of moving and building a house.  We had a wonderful time hosting, and the kids loved being with their cousins!

Getting ready for Thanksgiving

Daddy and the kids raked a lot of leaves to get the yard ready for our Thanksgiving guests.  It looks like they had fun!

Jane Gray got her ears pierced!

Jane Gray, Sayley, Liddy, and Aubrey Scott were surprised with ear piercings today!  The girls were supposed to get them for Christmas, but we decided to surprise them and do them a bit earlier than they thought.  The girls were so surprised!  I wish I had gotten a picture of Aubrey Scott's face - she was thrilled and hugged Jane Gray so tightly when she realized what was about to happen!  The actual ear piercings were much less dramatic.  The girls said they didn't hurt at all.  The girls picked matching diamond studs and spent the night together at our house admiring each other's earrings.  They woke up Wednesday morning and immediately put their hands to their ears to make sure it wasn't a dream.  They were so cute!

Beach trip

After school and a birthday party for a friend, we headed to the beach for a quick trip before Thanksgiving Day.  The weather was so nice and not very cold!  We played on the beach all day Saturday and even got our Christmas card picture!
