Counting candy

Back at the condo, the children counted their loot and piled into very full beds.

Trick or treating in Oxford

We invited the Browns and Sayley, Liddy, and Aubrey Scott to Oxford with us to trick or treat, and we had a ball!  Oxford takes trick or treating very seriously!  We trick or treated on Lamar, and every house was decorated as a haunted house!  At one of the houses, there was a werewolf jumping out at trick or treaters, at another house a witch was handing candy out of a silver punchbowl, and at another house, you had to walk through a haunted house tunnel to get your treats.  We were impressed!  After we got our fill of candy, we headed to the Square and the City of Oxford's haunted house.  It wasn't too scary though - the kids really enjoyed it!  We headed back to the condo around 10:00 with nine very cold children!

Neighborhood Halloween party

While Jane Gray partied with Aubrey Scott, the rest of us had fun at our neighborhood party.  There was a DJ, a hayride, and lots of fun friends (that's Wilson under the beard) and good food!

Trick or treating with Aubrey Scott

Aubrey Scott invited Jane Gray and Sayley to her neighborhood Halloween party and trick or treating.  Jane Gray had so much fun and came home with a TON of candy!

Pumpkin patch field trip

Meg and her class went on a field trip to the Nichols-Boyd pumpkin patch.  We arrived around 11:00, ate lunch, and then piled onto a hayride to the pumpkin patch.  On the way, we saw lots of animals and sunflower fields.  The weather was perfect, and the farm was beautiful!  At the pumpkin patch, Meg picked out the biggest pumpkin she could carry!  After pumpkin picking, the kids enjoyed petting lots of farm animals before we headed back to school.

Sad little Ole Miss fan

We had the Adams over to watch the game, so Meg played with their girls during most of the game. When she found out that Ole Miss lost to LSU, she was inconsolable.  It reminded us of Charlie years ago at the Alabama game.  Ole Miss jumped up early in the game and then lost.  Charlie cried so hard!  This Saturday, he handled it very well, but Meg did not.  Tough lessons for little Rebels!

Pacer reunion

The Pacer reunion was this weekend.  Before the game, we ate dinner on the grounds, and Meg and Grace Decker enjoyed watching the current Pacers march into the football stadium.

Ole Miss-Tennessee game

Jane Gray had a spend the night party, so we drove up Saturday morning for the Ole Miss game.  We played Tennessee and got to hang out with Carley and Tim.  We walked around the Grove with them and saw some fun friends before we headed to the game.  Daddy took Meg onto the field this time, and she enjoyed watching the cheerleaders.  The Tennessee mascot waved to her, but Meg immediately shot him back a down thumb sign.  That poor mascot had a rough night - the Rebs beat his Vols handily.

Holiday Potpourri

This was a more relaxing Holiday Potpourri than last year, and we really enjoyed listening to Jane Gray sing and Charlie play his violin.  They did so well!

The Fair

Mrs. Crawford took Jane Gray, Sayley, Liddy, and Aubrey Scott to the Fair, so we decided to take Charlie and Meg, too.  It was a wristband night, and the kids rode everything, even the scary rides like Ring of Fire!  They didn't ride any of the kiddy rides this year unless you count the merry-go-round and ferris wheel, which we don't because we adults still love to ride them!
