Meg's ballet rehearsal
A few of Charlie's favorite things
These are a few of Charlie's favorite things: ice cream, balls of any kind, our fair goldfish, dinosaurs, and most importantly, God and Jesus.

Cirque de la Symphonie
Daddy and Jane Gray had a date to the Jackson Symphony's Cirque de la Symphonie for fun and for violin time credit. It was an entertaining symphony event with the added performers - acrobats, clowns, and gymnasts. It was a lot of fun just being the two of us.

Rodeo
We enjoyed the rodeo again this year. There were more bulls, which we loved, and the cowboys won for the second year in a row (just as Charlie predicted). The entertainment was Loretta Lynn. She was amazing, especially since she is more than 80 years old!

No more training wheels for Meg
Look who has learned how to ride a bike! Meg learned in all of five minutes. We were very impressed! She was the easiest child to teach, hands down.
Rodeo parade
After our basketball games, we went outside to find that we were in the middle of the Rodeo parade. The kids went crazy for the beads and candy. They also scored a whistle, baseball cap, frisbee, and some huggies.
Basketball games
The big kids did well in their basketball games today. Charlie has really become a good dribbler, and he loves to shoot (especially 3-pointers). It's harder to score at Jane Gray's level (though she has made a basket), and Jane Gray has become a master picker and defender.

2013 Bach Festival
Jane Gray received superior marks at the Bach Festival and got to play in the Honors recital. She was very excited and performed her piece so well!

Pig show
Daddy couldn't resist taking the children to the pig show on the way home from the birthday party. The kids loved seeing and petting all of the animals!
Meg's 5th birthday party
Meg and Laurie had a joint ballerina birthday party together. The Covenant Preschool ballet teacher, Miss Krista, gave the girls a ballet lesson. The girls also decorated pinata candy bags, had their nails and makeup done by Jane Gray and the Hurst girls, took turns hitting the ballet slipper pinata, and ate lots of cupcakes and ice cream. It was such a fun party!
