Jane Gray's 11th birthday party
Jane Gray turns 11 when she is at Desoto, so we had an early slumber party for her and seven of her friends in Yazoo City. We left Friday afternoon and arrived in Yazoo City around 6:00. The girls went swimming and fishing and canoeing and then ate pizza and birthday cake. After dinner, the girls helped Jane Gray open her presents and then played upstairs. Around midnight, we went back to the pier and cooked S'mores. The girls then watched a movie, ate popcorn, and went to bed around 3:00. They woke up around 9:00 and after breakfast, rode horses until it was time to return to Jackson. It was a fun, and busy, birthday party!

Prep art camp
Jane Gray, Liddy, and Sayley went to art camp this week at Prep. The girls created several beautiful pieces of art and also got to spend time with Jane Gray and Liddy's cousin, Elizabeth Gaines. Elizabeth Minor took the girls for yogurt one day after camp, and the girls had so much fun together!

Charlie's 9th birthday party
Charlie and John Woods had a baseball birthday party to celebrate their 9th birthdays. The party was held on the T-ball field at NJYBB. We divided the boys into two teams and played a baseball game with tennis balls so that the boys could hit lots of home runs. The boys had a blast! After the game, we sang "Happy birthday" to the birthday boys and ate lots of cake. It was a fun party!

State Champs!
The Jackson Thunder marched through the State Championship Tournament this week undefeated, and to top it off, Charlie had the game-winning, walk-off base hit in the championship game! He played extremely well in all the games. His daddy was mighty proud of him and his accomplishments.

Happy birthday to Charlie!
Charlie turned 9 years old today. Fortunately, his baseball team won both of their tournament games and got a bye, so he didn't play baseball on his birthday. Instead, he went fishing with his Daddy, spent some of his birthday money on a binocular, swiss army knife, and compass, watched Ole Miss play in the CWS, and ate dinner at one of his favorite restaurants, Nagoya. Our chef even let Charlie participate in the egg roll. He did great! After dinner and a fried banana cake, Charlie and Grandpa took a little spin around the neighborhood, and then we celebrated with a chocolate cake made by his sister. It was a great day!
