Quick trip to Oxford
Some of mom's college friends met in Oxford for dinner, so we all piled in the car for a quick trip to Oxford. The children were thrilled to actually see some snow!
Youth Hunt
Really last hunt of the year - youth hunt with Jane Gray, Will and the Turners. Another great day in the woods before a rush home for a soccer game.

"Snow" day
We had two "snow" days this week, and it only "snowed" once and only for a very little while (we had to look very hard to see it!)! We made the most of our days off though and read by the fire and played a ton of Rook.
Charlie's acting award
Charlie has done so well at play practice this week that he won this "Academy Award." The best part was that it came with a Hershey bar!

Meg and Yazoo City jonquils
We popped over to Yazoo City this afternoon for a visit with Pop and Sherrie. I took Meg's Easter dress just in case the jonquils were in bloom, and they were! It was freezing, but Meg was a trooper and looked beautiful! In fact, she was so stunning that a herd of deer stopped to check her out. I love the pictures of her looking back at them.

Soccer friends
These sweet friends love playing soccer together. In today's game, Meg passed to Kate Wyndam for a score. They were so happy for each other! And, of course, these two cousins love being on a team together!

Jane Gray's honor choir performance at the Veterans' Home
The FPDS honor choir sang several patriotic songs for the men and women at the Mississippi State Veterans' Home today. They sang so well and were so sweet to visit with the veterans after their performance.

Rodeo
It's rodeo day again, and the Barbours are at the rodeo again. We started visiting Christy Harris and her horses (but the horses were not in the stalls yet). The rodeo was great as always. After almost 40 years of going to the rodeo, Charlie was able to catch a Wheezer for us (he fell down the stairs, recovered and dove in front of another kid - it was well done). Charlie took the cowboys and Daddy took the bulls - bulls won once again.
