Crazy Daddy decided that Jane Gray and Mom shouldn't be the only ones having fun on the beach, so he, Meg and Charlie took off early Memorial Day morning for a day-trip to Orange Beach. And what a great trip it was. As soon as we got set up, it started raining - so the pavilion became a great volleyball court. Once the rain cleared out, it was business as usual on the beach - jumping waves, digging in the sand, searching for shells and fish, football, soccer, more volleyball, boogie-boarding, up and downs, snacks, etc.

Meg and Daddy Weekend
Meg and Daddy (and Lucy) were left behind this weekend, so they went to Louise and Yazoo City for some outdoor fun. Meg proved to be an excellent driver both on and off road. After a full day of work in Louise, we treated ourselves to Hasted Tastee topped off with an Oreo milkshake. Sunday was a more relaxed day with church, pizza, board games, Harry Potter, horses and of course lots of swinging.

Charlie in San Francisco with Nana and Grandpa
Charlie, Reese, Nana and Grandpa flew out early on Wednesday morning. Once in San Francisco, they hit the ground running and didn’t slow down until they returned home on Sunday. Many of their adventures included: eating at Mel's Diner, zip lining among the redwoods in Sonoma, Muir Woods, dinner in Sausalito, viewing Golden Gate Bridge and parked in the viewing area for pics, drove through the Presidio, Cliff House and Seal Rock where the boys found some caves to explore (2 days’ worth of caves) and then a drive down Lombard Street (the crooked part which they later learned was illegal), drove through Chinatown, Japantown, Haight-Ashbury, Nob Hill, AT&T Park, and saw Coit Tower; went to Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39 to watch the sea lions be lazy and fight; went to Dungeon of San Fran, Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, Rocket Boat, Aquarium; cable cars, swimming at hotel, Ghiradelli chocolate, at Hard Rock, Alcatraz, baseball game at AT&T Park with the Braves and Giants, and maybe a few more things.
