Pizza night (again)

Nana and Grandaddy Rickey ordered pizzas for Aunt Stacy and Mommy and their friends almost every Friday night when we were growing up. I guess it's in Mommy's blood because we went out for pizza again this Friday night at Mellow Mushroom with the Pooles, their friend Sam Graves, and Jane Gray's friend Sarah Foster. We had a great time! Meg dressed up in one of her princess dresses - every day since we returned from Disney World, she has worn a princess dress!

Daddy as Mystery Reader

Every Friday, Jane Gray's class has a Mystery Reader. Daddy was the Mystery Reader today, and he was a big hit! He read Where's Wallace? (one of his childhood favorites) and gave the children candy and cookies for a snack. Jane Gray begged Daddy to stay for lunch, and he did.

Muffins with Mom

Today, Mommy and Charlie enjoyed "Muffins with Mom" at Covenant Preschool. We had a great time together, visiting with Charlie's buddies and enjoying the good food. Charlie kept going back for seconds, thirds, and even fourths! He must be going through a growth spurt.

Winter Wonderland

The City of Jackson was told to brace itself for a huge winter snowstorm. Church was closed on Sunday, and we all huddled up together at the Hursts' house for Sunday lunch and the Chiefs game. Unfortunately, it was much ado about nothing; Jackson only received a "wintry mix." Charlie didn't seem to care, though. He was so fascinated by all of the ice and icecycles (it was cold, so the girls opted to stay inside; you can see Jane Gray surveying the "damage" from the window in the second picture). Charlie was even able to scrounge up some ice/snow for snow cream; he sang "I'm dreaming of a White Christmas" the whole time.

Disney World

Wednesday morning, December 29th, we loaded up the car and headed to Orlando, Florida. The kids requested, and received, a trip to Disney World for Christmas. We spent five days there, hitting all four parks (Magic Kingdom twice) before arriviving home early Tuesday morning, January 4th. We had a wonderful time and made so many fun memories. We rode all of the rides, enjoyed some fun shows and parades, dressed up as princesses (Jane Gray and Meg) and pirate (Charlie), fought Darth Vader (Charlie), and met all of the princesses and Disney characters. We started and ended our trip riding Dumbo, which was Meg's favorite ride (the big kids loved Space Mountain best, and Daddy especially loved the tea cups). It was a great trip!
