Happy birthday, Meg!

Meg turned three today, and she is so happy about it! We celebrated this morning with doughnuts, Meg's favorite. When she got out of the car this morning at school, she said, "It's my birthday!" Happy birthday, Meg!

Cousin Jay sent us this picture of the cousins at Mary Clinton's breakfast-pajama party. Fun was had by all.

Charlie's Duck Stand

Charlie went on another duck hunt with Daddy, Pop and Uncle Will. While ice formed on the water around the decoys on this cool morning, we enjoyed Pop's heater and Oreos for breakfast. Charlie even got to pull the trigger on an unsuspecting duck that landed in front of the blind - Charlie immediately wanted to get the duck mounted for his room, but Daddy was successful in avoiding that request. We had a great time, a few ducks cooperated and Charlie is ready to go back.

Charlie's favorite person

Charlie made a book of "favorites" at school. This is the picture he drew of his favorite person - his Daddy. In the picture, Charlie and Daddy are playing baseball together.

Skating with the Herrings

Since the children did not have school today, and Jane Gray had to miss Sarah Herring's skating party, we decided to go skating at Funtime Skateland and invited Sarah and her brother, Bennett, to join us. Daddy met us there and taught Charlie how to skate. It was Jane Gray and Charlie's first time, and, as you can see in the second picture, they hugged the rails at first. They caught on quickly, though, and had so much fun skating with their friends!

Hunting with Pop

Daddy took Jane Gray and Charlie duck hunting this morning in Louise. They stopped in Yazoo City to pick up Pop and eat breakfast - Oreos, of course! Pop gave the kids their own duck calls, which they loved! The men shot several ducks (from the inaugural hunt out of "Charlie's Duck Stand" they built this past summer), and Pop said it was one of his best hunts ever!
