Summer turtle
We inevitably have a turtle or two show up in our yard during the summer. This was a first, though. This is a snapping turtle!

Meg's first swim meet
Meg swam in her first swim meet tonight about the CCJ. River Hills won, and Meg swam so well! She placed second in her heat in individual freestyle and freestyle relay. Jane Gray and Charlie did well, too, especially since we have not been to a single practice!

Jackson Thunder's first tournament championship
Jackson Thunder played in, and won, their first tournament in Clinton. The boys, and their coaches, were so excited! The team started the tournament strong, beating its first opponent, a team from Clinton, by 13 runs. The Thunder lost their second game to the other Clinton team but won their next two to face the same Clinton team in the championship game. This time, the Thunder won! The boys improved so much over the weekend, and we are so proud of them, especially our first baseman!

Horseback riding at Reunion stables
Elle Bryant had her fifth birthday party at the Reunion stables. One of the ponies the children rode was Popcorn, one of Stewbaby's ponies. Meg loved her and rode again and again and again. While the little girls were celebrating Elle's birthday, Vicki Robinson took Jane Gray to a riding ring to ride her horse, Honey. Jane Gray had a blast and did so well!
