Nana and Grandpa kept the kids for us so that we could attend a wedding. When we picked them up, they were reading books together. Meg was so funny putting her hand on Grandpa's head while he read to Ella and her.
The children have been asking for a vegetable garden ever since Pop and Sherrie started theirs. Daddy carved out a spot for one in the backyard, and we planted it today. We included sweet potatoes, peas, spinach, lettuce, green beans, strawberries, squash, tomatoes, carrots, and several herbs.
The Bethany picnic was today. It was so fun! We rode horses, petted a goat, had our faces painted, and rode a train.
Jane Gray's first softball game was tonight. She pitched an inning and did well, but she did her best work at first base - she had two unassisted outs.

Charlie's first buddy ball game was tonight. His team started the game in the outfield. Charlie played third base and made a Willie Mays' over-the-shoulder catch for the first out. He made the last out of the game, too, while playing first base - an unassisted double play. He hit well, too; he came up one home run short of a cycle.
