MSH's graduation

Our favorite high school senior graduated tonight.  The Hursts had us over for dinner before the big event, and then we all headed downtown to Thalia Mara to watch the ceremony.  Mary Stewart did great!  We also got to see Richard receive his diploma.  The children loved seeing Richard and Betsy!

End of year parties

Jane Gray and Charlie have finished their fourth and first grade years.  Their classes celebrated with end of the year parties.  Jane Gray's class had cupcakes and celebrated Mrs. Lytton by writing sweet yellow sticky notes about her and then actually putting them on her.  It was very sweet!  Charlie's crew had yummy snacks, too, and Mrs. Humphries gave out candy awards.  Charlie received the Spree award for always finishing his work on time and helping to keep others on track.  After lunch with Daddy, we headed to the pool to celebrate our first day of summer.

Crawfish boil

Gray invited Daddy and the big kids to a crawfish boil this afternoon.  The boys did lots of fishing, and Charlie caught the only bass.  Jane Gray loved hanging out with her sweet friend, Lillian Claire, and eating lots of crawfish.

Charlie's first spend the night party

Sweet Baty invited Charlie, Andy, Banks, and Jack to his spend-the-night birthday party.  The boys went crawfish hunting, played lots of fun games, and settled in with a Star Wars movie.  Charlie had a great time!

Charlie's last game

Charlie's baseball team had their last game, too.  Charlie played at pitcher, first base, and shortstop.  He caught a pop up on the run and made several outs at first base.  He also had his first grand slam!!!  It was a great hit!  The boys celebrated their successful season over pizza at Cici's and were awarded trophies for their hard work.

Blue Dolphins' last game

The Blue Dolphins closed out their season with a big win today.  Jane Gray pitched and played at first base.  She caught two line drives at pitcher and made several outs at first, too.  Super coach Daddy rewarded the girls with Blue Dolphin nail polish as their trophies for a great season.  We also celebrated with a yummy cookie cake. Way to go, Blue Dolphins!

Meg's ballet recital

Meg's ballet class danced to "Diamonds are a girl's best friend" in their end-of-year recital at Thalia Mara.  Meg did so well and LOVED being on stage.  She was tickled, too, that some older boys danced with the girls and escorted them off stage.  It was such a cute performance!
