Christmas Eve dinner with the Barbours

After church, we headed home to get ready to host the Barbour Christmas Eve dinner.  We had a delicious meal together, Meg read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, and Santa even called!

Christmas Eve at Nana and Grandpa's house

We had Christmas Eve lunch and opened presents at Nana and Grandpa's house and then went to the Christ United Christmas Eve candlelight service together.

Charlie's first buck of the year

Dad, Charlie, Uncle Will and Mr. Ronnie had a good duck hunt at sunrise, and Dad and Charlie stayed around for a mid-morning deer hunt - it paid off as Charlie shot a nice 6-point on his second deer on a stand by himself.  Dad waited as long as he could on his own stand (a whole 10 minutes) before finding Charlie outside his box stand sitting on the ladder - he couldn't stand waiting either.

Santa and a trip to the movies

 

After Charlie's final Boy Scout workshop, we went to the mall to visit Santa, then to the movies to see the new Star Wars movie, Rogue One, and then to see Christmas yights.

Charlie and Meg's friends

Charlie spent two days of his Christmas break in Boy Scout merit badge workshops with his friends, and Meg has spent a ton of time at the Marions' house!

Tough Love

Sometimes, when you don't do what Dad has repeatedly told you to do and given you ample time to do, there are consequences (well, kinda).
