Trimming the Christmas tree

This afternoon, after church, we decorated our Christmas tree. Jane Gray and Charlie loved putting the ornaments on the tree, and they took great pride in putting up the ornaments with their names on them. After we trimmed the tree, we ate dinner and made some Christmas cookies for dessert. The kids went heavy on the sprinkles, but the cookies turned out really cute, and they tasted good, too! Daddy ate his with eggnog. It was quite the festive day!

Trimming the tree took on a whole new meaning this year as I actually trimmed several feet off the top and sides to get this Grizwaldian tree in our house.

At least we don't have a nest in ours (like the other Barbours) - I was fully expecting a squirrel to jump out of that thing.

You are jealous you don't have a nest. Charlie will love ours! And now you have extra greenery to decorate with!
