The Barbour side of the family spent the weekend together at Gulf Shores. Daddy had rented two adjoining condos in Orange Beach for us, but they flooded, so we stayed in a house on the beach in Gulf Shores instead (it's the blue house in the background of the picture of Charlie chasing the seagulls). We went down Thursday afternoon and stayed until Sunday. There was no pool, so the kids played at the beach all day. They loved the tidepools and swam, boogie boarded, and fished for baby fish in them (they claimed to be saving them from the seagulls). We also built sandcastles, played in the waves, walked on the beach, collected lots of shells, chased seagulls, flew kites, and went crabbing at night. We had a great time, especially with Sherrie - it was her first Barbour beach trip! We made it home late Sunday afternoon and were greeted by Cutie Pie. It was good to be home!
