MMNS field trip

Charlie's class ventured to the Natural Science museum this morning to see the new butterfly exhibit. The children pretended they were caterpillers (Charlie and his "girlfriend," Katy, asked Mommy to take a picture of them in their cocoons), played on a spiderweb and imitated a butterfly in flight. There was a butterfly room, and one brave Monarch butterfly alighted on Charlie's head! The children also petted a box turtle, tortoise, alligator, and two snakes. Charlie loved that! Judging from his facial expression, the alligator named "Governor" (he had an "accident" on Governor Barbour) was Charlie's favorite. We ate lunch at the playground and then headed back to Covenant for carpool. It was a fun morning!
