Happy Halloween!
We had dinner at the Hollingsworths' house and then went trick or treating down Wild Valley to the neighborhood party on Dalrymple. We saw so many of our friends, got lots of yummy treats, and rode on several hayrides. After trick or treating, we went back to the Hollingsworths' house to eat our candy, play football with Daddy, and swing with our friends. We ended the night at the Bairds' house - our favorite neighbors!
Halloween at gymnastics
The girls got to dress up in their Halloween costumes for their tumbling class. Before the class, we made some Halloween cupcakes. These girls are silly!!!
Pumpkin carving
Daddy and the kids carved our pumpkins this morning. Charlie gave his little pumpkin some fangs, and Daddy carved a happy jack-o-lantern out of our biggest pumpkin.

We've been boo'ed!
We caught Wilson boo'ing our house this afternoon, and we returned the favor to the Hursts. Jane Gray was very sneaky, but Genevieve got to the door quickly enough to hear Jane Gray shushing Meg. We were busted!

Neighborhood Halloween party
We were super excited when our neighborhood Halloween party got moved from Friday to today because we missed several Halloween parties this weekend while we were at the beach. Today's party got us out of beach-mode and into Halloween-mode. The kids loved dressing up and being with their friends!

Daddy's early birthday party
We are celebrating Daddy's big 4-0 early this year. We made him a chocolate chip pound cake and sang "Happy birthday" to him. We also played several of Daddy's favorite games - Jenga and tickle bed (Daddy loves to make Charlie's eyes roll in the back of his head!).
Fun at the beach
After a busy couple of weeks with Holiday Potpourri and Amerikids, we escaped the city for Orange Beach and the Caribe. We arrived at sunset and went straight to the beach. It was very warm, and the kids loved playing in the ocean. A cool front arrived the next day, so we slide down the outside slide one time each and then headed to the indoor pool where we raced, played monkey in the middle, and the boys threw the ball to each other a million times. After lunch and the Ole Miss game (which we won!), we braved the beach. The water was much cooler, so we built sandcastles and collected lots of shells. It was a bit warmer on Sunday, so we played in the lazy river, spent some more time at the indoor pool, and found some amazing shells at the beach.
