Lucy found another turtle in the backyard!

This is the second turtle Lucy has found in our backyard.  The first one got chewed on pretty good, but Meg saw this one before Lucy could really get her teeth into it.

Daddy's little league field

Charlie begged Daddy to show him his little league field, so we made a pit stop there for a little baseball throwing before we headed home.

Witch of Yazoo City

On the way home, we stopped by Stewart's grave.  The children also wanted to find the Witch of Yazoo City's grave.  Daddy told them the legend of the Witch, and we also payed our respects to Willie Morris.

Sunday in Yazoo City

Since we spent Easter in North Carolina, we decided to celebrate a late Easter with Pop in Yazoo City.  We met him at church and then spent the day fishing and playing on Pop's Ranger.

Dinner at Arnaud's

We celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary with the children at Arnaud's.  We sat in a room with a jazz band and enjoyed lots of lively New Orleans music.  Daddy requested "You are my sunshine" - so sweet!  We ended the meal with yummy and fiery bananas foster.  As we were leaving, a patron commented that we were "raising our children right" by treating them to a fancy dinner.  It was a fun night, and, hopefully, the children learned a few manners!

Weekend in New Orleans

The day after the Taylor Swift concert, we headed to New Orleans for beignets and fun at the Aquarium.
