The Jackson Thunder won their first A tournament of the season (and they have played in only two so far) this weekend in Brandon. Charlie pitched a no-hitter in pool play and came back the next day and gave up only one run in two innings in bracket play for which he received the game ball. He played good defense, too, making several outs in the last inning at second base, including the last out when the runner stepped off the bag. He also batted well, hitting several triples on the weekend and a single in the bottom of the last inning (with two outs and no one on base) of the championship game. He scored the game-winning run, too. He had a good tournament!
