Delta getaway

Mommy and Daddy took a much-needed getaway to the Delta this weekend. We started in Greenwood, spending the night at the Alluvian and eating dinner at Giardina's. Saturday morning, we woke up and ate the best breakfast in the Terrace Room watching College Gameday on the bigscreen. It was awesome! After antiqueing in Greenwood, we headed to Merigold where Mommy did a little shopping. We had lunch at the Warehouse in Cleveland and did a little more shopping. Daddy even bought something - a mini caramel cake at a shop across the street from The Wishing Well! It was delicious! On the way home, we stopped in Indianola at the B.B. King Museum. They were having a blues festival, so we listened to some blues and took a complimentary tour of the museum. It was so fun! We made it home late Saturday night and fell asleep watching football. It was a perfect weekend! And, we loved picking the kids up from the Hursts' house on Sunday morning. We missed them so much!

Have you stayed at the Alluvian? It was so great! Brian told us about your cousin after we had already left - wish we had known! Brian said it would have been good for a free slice of pie. :) Miss you!!!
