Vicksburg National Military Park

Daddy gave a Bethany talk at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Vicksburg today.  We tagged along.  After Daddy's presentation, we saw the Mississippi River (and a huge barge!) and then went to the Vicksburg National Military Park.  Charlie was determined to find a bullet from the Civil War.  We didn't find a bullet, but we learned a lot about the Civil War and the Siege of Vicksburg.  We saw lots of cannons, monuments, the Vicksburg National Cemetery, and the U.S.S. Cairo gunboat.  It was a fun, and educational, day!  On the way home, we saw a beautiful rainbow.  We hope it portends a successful fifth grade, second grade, and kindergarten year, since school starts tomorrow.
