Pharaoh, Pharaoh

The following was posted on a Caringbridge website that Mommy follows - the children mentioned in the entry were Jane Gray and Charlie. They were with their Daddy at Walgreen's when they broke into song.

Testify To Love by Avalon - All the colors of the rainbowAll of voices of the windEvery dream that reaches outThat reaches out to find where love beginsEvery word of every storyEvery star in every skyEvery corner of creation lives to testifyFor as long as I shall liveI will testify to loveI'll be a witness in the silences when words are not enoughWith every breath I take I will give thanks to God aboveFor as long as I shall liveI will testify to love

When I ran to the drug store earlier I saw two precious children back in the pharmacy area. They were singing and dancing, repeating the same catchy phrase over and over. By the third time, I heard something about a pharaoh. I glanced at the two other people waiting and in unison we all said, "Vacation Bible School!" Yes, it's that time of year. I remember planning our summer around it. Every year, when I taught VBS, I was reminded that God was not calling me to be a teacher. But I loved teaching Bible School. There is something so precious and innocent about children singing songs about Jesus! As soon as I got in the car to drive home I heard "Testify" on the radio. I love this song! I turn it up and sing really loud when I'm in the car by myself. It made me think back to the children. What a statement they made with their singing. How they uplifted my spirits when I needed it! How they testified! Whew! Are we glad this week is over! Carrie had a good deal of pain last night and some bleeding - didn't bleed all the way through the dressing around the tube site but almost. Not sure exactly how much bleeding she had yesterday with the tube replacement but her crit was down to 24 so Dr. F wanted two units of blood. She also got the procrit shot and no more Arixtra! Whoo Hoo! She has really been hurting today - so sore from yesterday's procedure. Still running a low grade temp. She snoozed a little while getting blood. I'm afraid we both have started with crud. It's been going all around me - think I just got run down with the events of the past week. So hoping to get a little rest this weekend. We got home from the clinic just in time to greet the sweet Eidt family bringing us dinner. Thanks so much! Also to the Maggie, Julia and Hannah for the beautiful cards! Thanks to the Brody family, Carmel, MST, and Janet. Happy Birthday to Carrie's sweet nurse, Nikki! Prayers as always for the Akeman family, Melanie and Jessica. In His Grip, Paulap.s. I'll redo my "special" post I lost sometime this weekend.
