First Ole Miss football game

Fall was officially ushered in today with the cooler weather and the first Ole Miss football game of the 2010 season. We had a great time in Oxford and at the game. We bought Charlie a new football, and he spent part of the game under the stadium playing football with some other boys. But, this was the first time that Jane Gray and Charlie were both actually interested in the football game. Jane Gray even said she was nervous on a couple of plays and couldn't watch. She enjoyed the game, though, and spent part of it with her friend, Hannah Grace Berch, in Hannah Grace's seats (on the fifty-yard line!). Meg had a good time, too. She sat in her Daddy's lap and played with the four-year old boy who sits near us. Charlie's favorite part of the game had to be the cannon that is fired when Ole Miss scores (in the picture above, he is holding his ears because it was so loud!). Daddy told Charlie that they shoot one fan of the opposing team after every score. Charlie also enjoyed rolling down the hills on campus on the way to and from the game - this is, apparently, a Charlie Barbour tradition.
