Charlie and Daddy were able to get tickets through Tony and Stacy for the Saints/Rams football game. We showed up early with our field-level passes to watch the players warm-up. Uncle Tony told Charlie to go tackle the punter, but thankfully Daddy was able to step in before anyone got hurt. Charlie immediately found a ball bag that was a few yards inside the yellow line that we were forbidden to cross. However, an errant punt made its way to us, and Charlie got to show off his arm throwing it back to the field. A manager later came by and passed a few back and forth with Charlie - he also gave Charlie an official NFL sweatband. We saw all the players passing, catching, kicking and running around. Just before the game started, we were told we needed go to our seats. Charlie ran a few times up and down the sideline working on his moves - he must have impressed because another Ram employee gave Charlie a second wristband. Upon reaching our seats, Charlie expressed his disapproval that if we had only gone up two more rows, we would have been at the very top (nosebleed section, but we were certainly happy to be there). Tony's cousin works for the Rams, so we told Charlie he had to be a Rams fan for the day, which he did not appreciate but he fully complied - until midway through the first quarter and the Saints were wearing out the Rams, when Charlie decided it might be a good idea to pull for the Saints. We watched the game, ate peanuts, popcorn and cotton-candy, took a break to throw our new Saints football under the seats - we had a blast.
