Beach trip
The Stowe/Koon clan headed to Seacrest Beach for Memorial Day week. The weather was perfect - it never rained - and the water was gorgeous. It was so clear we even saw three sharks! They swam right by Daddy and Aunt Stacy. Mommy was the first one to notice the first shark, and you should have seen her running up and down the beach screaming, "Shark!" It was hilarious! The kids swam a lot in the ocean and loved riding their boogy boards. They also made several sand castles and creatures (check out Charlie's alligator!), flew Charlie's pterodactyl kite, played baseball, searched for sand fleas, crabs, and fish, sunbathed, snorkled, found seashells, and had lots and lots of fun.

River Hills
This is where we will spend the majority of our summer - River Hills. Jane Gray's best friend, Sayley, swims at River Hills, too, so she often tags along with us. Charlie loves the diving board. Today, he worked on his flips. Meg is becoming such a good swimmer. She even braved the slide. Sweet Daddy was there to catch her when she hit the water.

Jane Gray's last day of second grade
Today was Jane Gray's last day in Mrs. Slack's class. There was not a dry eye at the party. Mrs. Slack is so dear and genuinely loves her class. We will miss her next year! As a farewell gift, Mrs. Slack gave out awards (with candy attached) at the party, and Jane Gray received the "Bubbliest award" for her sweet, bubbly personality - with bubble gum attached. She also received a certificate for having the most AR points. She has become quite the bookworm. We are so proud of you, Jane Gray! After the party, we celebrated at Sal and Mookie's. We had a great time with our friends!

Last Blue Dolphins game
Tonight was Jane Gray's last game as a Blue Dolphin, and she and the team went out with a bang - they beat the Dynamites to claim the league championship. They were thrilled! We celebrated after the game at Sal and Mookies. Coach Daddy gave the girls their trophies and spoke about each girl individually. Coach Daddy was partial, of course, but he said that Jane Gray was his favorite Blue Dolphin. It was a sweet night!
