Mother's Day did not go exactly as planned this year. The morning started off great. Daddy gave Mommy some jewelry and a beautiful corsage and made us a yummy breakfast. The children gave Mommy their handmade gifts and a bag of Reese's. So far, so good. Then we walked in to church. We saw Mommy's friend, Mary Tison, and she noticed a lump on Charlie's neck - a swollen gland. So, we marched right out of church to the doctor's office. The doctor said it was only a virus (which turned into double ear infections and tonsillitis the next day!). Aunt Stacy, who was at the doctor's office with Olivia, took Jane Gray and Meg on to Nana's, while Charlie, Daddy, and Mommy stopped by the house to pick up a pie and say hello to Sherrie and Pop at Aunt Fair's house. We all finally made it to Nana's, and we had a wonderful lunch together! We made a stop by the Orchard on the way home and spent the rest of Mother's Day "resting." It was a very interesting and wonderful Mother's Day!
