The children woke up at a very decent time and by 8:00, all were downstairs opening their presents. We made them wait on the stairs until everyone was up and ready and then there was a mad dash to the stockings and presents! Jane Gray was the first one to find the pickle ornament in the Christmas tree, so she opened the first present - a new board game for the family. After stockings and Santa gifts, we opened our presents from each other. Meg's favorite was her rainbow loom, Charlie finally got his very own gun, and Jane Gray loved her ipod touch, which she opened last (and seemed very concerned that the box was "too big" for an ipod touch). The girls also received a piece of their Christmas china and angels from Daddy. Charlie got another nutcracker and lots of Ole Miss gear. Meg had the biggest present this year - Mommy and Daddy shadow boxed the quilt that Mommy's great grandmother made for her. Meg was thrilled! After we opened all of the presents, we sat down for breakfast and watched Emmitt Otter's Jugband Christmas. Nana and Grandpa then came by for a visit before we headed to Yazoo City.
