After lunch, we headed to the Art Institute of Chicago. The children loved the impressionist paintings! They picked their favorites, and each one picked a Monet. Jane Gray also loved the Renoir "Woman at the Piano" and Meg loved the Degas ballerina painting. Charlie surprised us in the European Art gallery when he correctly pointed out a painting of Hercules and the Hydra! Charlie was also fascinated by the knight in shining armor, and Jane Gray enjoyed the modern art. We all enjoyed an art scavenger hunt and the museum's miniature rooms.
