Bicycling at the "dog park"

Tonight, Jane Gray and Charlie rode their bikes at the "dog park," as Uncle Will affectionately calls the property at the end of Wild Valley. Jane Gray tried to ride hers without the training wheels. Daddy was a big help to her, and she is learning so fast. Meg wondered what all the fuss was about.

Where are the helmets for these kiddos?

Exactly. We forgot them. Poor Charles. We forgot one of Charlie’s pedals, so Charles had to go back to the house and get it. When he got back to the park, we realized that we didn’t have the helmets, either. Charles just didn’t want to have to go home again and get them. I promise we were extra careful with our precious kiddos.

Helmets? Did either of you ever wear a helmet? We Barbours just have hard heads, we don't need no stinking helmets.

Oh yeah, I guess Stacy has a little first hand knowledge of something along those lines. Fond memories of milkshakes and soup as your only sustenance through those wired jaws?

It's all fun and games until you throw your baby off the bike and their face ends up looking like hamburger meat. And it was Gatorade, not milkshakes and soup! Mo, pease

Oh goodness. Well, if it makes you feel any better, check out what Laurie isn't wearing on the boat.
