The fair, part two

We went back to the fair today to ride the rides. Meg and I picked up Charlie and then Jane Gray's carpool and headed downtown. Daddy, Libby Crawford, and Christy Burrow went with us, too. The girls had so much fun petting the animals at the petting zoo and riding the rides together. Jane Gray was such a great big sister; she let Charlie hang out with her friends, and she even rode down the giant yellow slide with him. They were really cute! The highlight of the day for the kids was getting to see the Giant Rat. They have a LOT of their daddy in them!

I'm glad you pointed out that the rat comes from the BARBOUR side...

Charlie was the one who really wanted to see the rat. But, that said, JG went along with it. Yuck!

I resent that Nana. All three of us from the BARBOUR side (JG, Charlie and me) quickly realized it was a sham when we saw this 'rat'. Anyone with any ties to the Delta would immediately know that was no rat, it was a nutria. We wanted our money back for the blatant misrepresentation - but then again, maybe anyone from the Delta should have known the Fair was a sham. And yes, it was still fun to see and probably worth the dollar to see a couple nutria sitting in a tub of water.
