After church, lunch, and a visit with Margaret and Alice, we decided to play outside in the front yard. The kids wanted to ride their bikes. I took a video of each of them riding their bikes, and the sounds they made are hilarious. Charlie, as usual, is humming a tune, and Jane Gray, who is trying to learn how to ride her bike without training wheels, is squealing. After some bike riding, Charles talked the kids into a game of football. They took turns trying to tackle the other before they could score a touchdown. It was really cute. Then, they decided to play some basketball. The kids have gotten really good at dribbling. While they were playing basketball, the Greggs came over. They were on their bikes, so the kids got back on theirs. Charlie kept trying to get Paul to race him. Paul, who is a year older than Charlie, rides his bicycle very fast. Charlie didn't seem to notice because he kept telling Paul, "I'm faster than you are!" After some more bike riding, we packed the crew up and headed to church. Since Charlie didn't have a nap, he kept nodding off in church. All it took was one prayer for him to close his eyes and head off to sleep. Who could blame him? It was a very full, and fun, day!
